Karan Johar is bringing the global phenomenon The Traitors to India — and the contestant list is everything. A carefully curated mix of Bollywood celebrities, cricketers, and social media stars will compete in a game of deception, strategy, and betrayal unlike anything Indian reality TV has attempted before.
The Traitors format, which originated in the Netherlands and has since produced hugely successful versions in the UK, US, and Australia, places a group of contestants in a remote location. A small number of them are secretly designated "Traitors" — their goal is to eliminate the "Faithful" contestants without being unmasked. The Faithful must identify and banish the Traitors before they're all eliminated. The last players standing share a prize fund.

Filming took place at a heritage property in Rajasthan — a sprawling fort-palace that provides the show with the atmospheric grandeur that the format demands. The prize fund is reported to be ₹5 crore — the largest cash prize in Indian reality TV history.
